DAY 1 The 100 Day Project

 

Happy Sunday! Are you watching the Super Bowl today? Who would you like to see win?  Los Angeles Rams or Cincinnati Bengals? I want Cincinnati to win. They are both good teams but I would like Cincinnati to win. Also who's excited for half time? I am! :) 

 I had a hard time starting #the100dayproject today but once I got started It went well.  My cat Z.iggy enjoys sitting on my desk and tries to attack my paint brush. lol  

I've been using this Art Journal to write my journey. This is absolutely lovely journal with artwork and inspirational quotes by Flora Bowley. I bought this from indigo on sale. I'm so happy I did. 

I painted a landscape today with watercolours, acrylic paint and watercolour crayons. 

Watercolour rose. Roses are so challenging. I would like to make more roses.

The 100 Day Project #the100dayproject

Hello lovely friends! I’m participating in #the100dayproject. I found out about this from an Instagram post and I’ve decided to participate. I’m going to be creating art every day for 100 days and posting it on IG and this blog daily. I’ll be using and exploring various art forms and exploring new colours, textures and techniques. I’m really excited and look forward to challenging my self and learning. I would like to set my self free, flow and grow as an artist.  Here is the hashtag feed where all the artist are joining in.

I am going to start with painting things I enjoy and love and slowly move into new mediums and mixed media. I would like to mix my art with poetry, materials with cloth and sewing, etching and even pottery.

Current Beauty Favourites

Hello my wonderful friends. I would like to share my favourite skincare, fragrance and hair products with you today. I haven't written about skincare and beauty for a while and I am really excited. 

Clinique happy is the fragrance that I've been enjoying recently and it really makes me happy. Clinique happy is a fragrance that I was introduced to a long time ago and I love it. It has fresh citrus notes and it makes me smile. I absolutely love it. 

I've been using L'oreal Wrinkle Expert day and night cream. These two face creams really hydrate my skin and absorb so nicely. I kindly received these for free from Chick Advisor and I love them so much. They are definitely working for my skin. If you would like to review and check out samples visit ChickAdvisor. 

Auggie is my favourite too. How adorable is he? Too cute I must add. 

Love belif jelly cleanser. It smells amazing and my skin feels very clean after using it. Smells citrusy as well. I also use Glaxal Base for my skin especially the area that I had to do radiation. I use this two times a day. Very hydrating and soothing. My favourite lip balm is Dr. Belimeur Cica Moisturizing Lip Balm. This lip balm heals and hydrates my chapped lips like no other chapstick I've ever used. So good. 

I saw an ad for the JVN  hair oils and then I saw how beautiful Jonathan Van Ness's hair is and I had to give these oils a try. My hair is almost 7 months post chemo and I want to make sure my hair grows back healthy and shiny and as beautiful as Jonathan's hair. He is fabulous! I'm really enjoying these oils and they are so good. They smell amazing and feel so good on the scalp and my hair looks and feels so good. I'm so happy I bought these. Highly recommend. 

Mr. Ziggy is my favourite cat as well. He's not happy having his photo taken. lol 

This has been with me for my entire Chemotherapy journey. Aveeno non scented daily moisturizing cream. So good. Hydrates, helps dry spots, soothes skin and does the job. Fantastic!

Here I am with no filter and no make with L'oreal wrinkle creams and I really like them!

 They hydrate, soothe and help my skin so much.

Art Goddess!

Yesterday I spent the entire day creating artwork and I felt like an Art Goddess!

I love the feeling that I have when I am painting and creating art. In the spring and summer I would like to go into nature and create it as it surrounds me. Yesterday I played classical music and painted all day. It is fun to just let go and paint without any judgement on my self. No rules and freedom to just go for it. 

I love swallows so I drew three swallows and I used a reference from the Toronto online archives. 

I love to draw and paint vases with flowers. It's one of my favourite things to paint including landscapes and fruit. 

I also created a Junk Journal Collage. Super fun to do with scraps of paper that I have. 

I love the combination or blue and orange together. 

This one is watercolour and acrylic paint. 

This is my little desk area that I paint and do all my creative artwork on. 

 

I follow an artist on IG that makes these glorious paintings and I fell in love with her mist and forest painting and I just had to capture the feeling and try it out for my self. I think it would work so nicely with oil paints and also acrylic paints. I used watercolour. I would like to try working with this style again because I find it a challenge.

I will for ever paint oceans. 

I really love landscapes that have lanes, roads, paths and rivers.

Live Laugh Love!

 Happy February my friends! 

At the end of January my husband and I made sourdough bread! We created our own starter and baked bread. It is so amazing and delicious. The entire house smelled so good! One of my favourite scents is bread and fireplace.

 

It is so cold here in Toronto. We have had -30! Extreme cold. I am not a fan of extreme cold. We are also expecting a snow storm for Wednesday and Thursday. 

My goals for February are to write letters to friends, create more art and journaling and stay creative.
