July Mood

💜💜💜

Hello and happy July!

I love making monthly mood boards on Canva and I want to share it with you.

What are your goals for this month?

My goals are to keep working out this month, to take it slow, pray more, create more art and create more vlogs for my youtube channel.  Going to try and keep it simple. I've uploaded new photos on Red Bubble. I have started a new Pinterest board. It's called Periwinkle. I'm loving how the colour makes me feel. It makes me feel so happy! It's absolutely a stunning colour! This month I am looking forward to watching Christmas in July but in PEI it starts on the 8th on the Women's network. In the USA it already started. Also have you tasted the rocky road cookies from Tim Hortons? omg soooo good. I want to make my own. So delicious.
Here are a few Art pieces I created recently.

Hope you are all doing well my friends.
Thank you for reading my post. Lots of positivity and love.

Happy May! Leuchtturm1917 Notebooks

Happy May 1st! I am truly excited and very happy to collaborate with leuchtturm1917. They kindly sent me three stunning notebooks, a pen loop and a pencil.

I’ve been using Leuchtterm1917 notebooks/bullet journals and art books for 4 years now and I’m very impressed by the quality of the product. Strong and sturdy. Never falls apart and I love ❤️ the thickness of the 120G edition. The 120G edition has:

• 120 g/sm paper from Germany
• Smooth writing surface
• Very low transparency
• Suitable for a variety of writing instruments
• Available as Hardcover in format Medium (A5)

Here is the 120G edition. LINK

This is not sponsored. These beautiful notebooks were gifted to me and Guess what?

They have given me a gift code for all my followers! The code is:

Week One #the100daychallenge

Happy March! I've been working on the #100DayChallenge and I have completed 7 days so far. Today I am going to make art for the 8th day. It has been fun and challenging at the same time. The fun part is making the art and the challenging part is making time to sit down and do the artwork.
I can celebrate that I have completed the 7 days and I used various art mediums.
This next week of the challenge I would like to paint various other objects and try something other than landscapes and vases and flowers.
Here are this weeks art pieces:

I hope you are all well, thank you for reading my post and I hope you leave a comment.

 Thank you all!

I am participating in #the100dayproject 🎨

Happy Wednesday! Hope you are all well. I wanted to share with you that I am participating in #the100dayproject! I am really excited and look forward to sharing my art exploration and work with you. I didn't get to finish the project last year due to my health but I am going to try this year and see how it goes. Hope you follow along. I will be posting on all my social media platforms. @bestdayblogger
I will also post on this blog daily.

Here is a Gouache piece of PEI and I tried to capture the red beautiful soil and the movement in the sky and water. Gouache is fun to work with and I really love how I can layer paints with it. I wonder if I add gloss on top of gouache will it give it a glossy finish? I must try that tomorrow.

So much fun to explore and create! Thank you for being here and reading my blog. I appreciate it so much!

In this piece I was testing out colours, shapes and textures.

Thank you all so much and I will see you tomorrow!

Much Love,
Maria

Vlogmas Week One 🎄 Advent Calendars and Baking

Hello Winter! Happy December everyone!

What do you enjoy doing in the winter?

Here in PEI they say the worst months are January, February and March.

I’m not worried…okay maybe I am. They sell snowshoes at the local Kent stores! That doesn’t worry me at all! Tomorrow we are expecting a snowstorm. About 20cm of snow and 80 kilometre winds. The wind on this island scares me like crazy. Anyhow, I hope you have a look at my first week vlogmas. I am currently filming part 2. I hope you like it and subscribe to my channel. It brings me so much joy and happiness.

Thank you so much!

Do you have a bucket list?

Here is my Bucket list:

Winter Bucket List

Walk on trails or ski on the trails

Make hot chocolate (top it with marshmallows, whip cream, candy canes and more)

Watch a cozy film

Make more art and keep up with my bullet journal

Make a delicious soup

Bake (bread, muffins, cake, cookies…)

Clean my Closet

Organize linen closet

Organize my makeup

The Last Party! Paint Party Friday

The week started slow but It headed toward the right direction. I made watercolour art, created junk journaling, abstract art and I even made rubber stamps. I've created a Notion account so I can research topics that I'm interested in. Is it weird that I enjoy research? lol  So far I'm learning about Zines, Rubber Stamps and Art History.

Here is the Zine I made.

I wanted to say thank you to Paint Party Friday, I will miss sharing art with other amazing artists.
A huge thank you again to Eva and Kristin for being amazing Hosts.

I am still participating with #The100dayProject,  I post on IG
Daily.  If you like to follow it would be so wonderful to see you over there.

Have a lovely weekend my friends!
Thank you so much!

Layering and adding various pieces of paper on the page is so much fun.

I used paints, markers, crayons and paper.

Journaling in my favourite bullet journal
 Leuchtturm 1917
I created a self portrait and a collage.

Sometimes when I don't know what to paint or draw I just make shapes and colour them in.
This makes me happy.
