Digital Minimalism: Why I Deleted Half My Apps and Feel Better

Hello my wonderful friends! I hope you are all good.

Linking this blog post with FFO Friday Face Off hosted by the wonderful and talented Nicole.

These three faces were frustrating to create be honest. I was not happy in the beginning but I worked through my emotions. lol Yes they have flaws but we are perfectly imperfect too.

I wanted to share some more Artwork and some Youtube Shorts with you today but before I do I wanted to share that I deleted X (formerly known as twitter), my facebook Fan page, TikTok, Goodreads and Deviant Art. Too much time wasted! I feel so much better and lighter now.

I will only be using my blog, Youtube, pinterest and IG. Eventually I will get rid of IG and Facebook all together. I have just wasted so much time on these apps and I want to just focus more on my family and creating some art and sharing it with you all on this blog.

Doom scrolling stresses me out and I just won't do it anymore. I would like to live in the moment and enjoy each day with my family and create art and I will be sharing my art and stories with you all. I really like this artist community on here and I am grateful for each and everyone of you.

Has anyone read and followed these exercises? I am on Week one. Love it so far.
I am stuck on taking myself on a Solo Art Date and find that I am using a lot of excuses not to go. lol

I will update you if I go on this Solo Art Outing.

Two Films that I recently watched and recommend
"Finding Your Feet" on Prime
"Bob Travino Likes It" on Prime

I kindly received some paints, brushes and paper from my friend Mel from British Columbia and I painted two paintings. Her Youtube Channel is EverythingMarmie.

Gouache Paintings
I love the birds. I want to make a sky with just birds.

This reminds me of PEI. I miss the Ocean.

Gouache paints are thicker and need water dilution a lot. The paint has a matt finish. Not sure I like matt finish. I do like the fact you can layer the paint when it is dry and add more detail to it.

This is watercolours on postcards.

Iced Matcha with Almond milk

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day and a wonderful weekend.
Here in Canada we have family day on Monday so it's a long weekend for us.  I hope to do some art, thrift and make a vlog this weekend. Have a very happy Valentine's Day if you celebrate.
Much love to you all!

New Vlog!

Weekly Arts & Crafts

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Linking up to T Stands for Tuesday Hosted by lovely Elisabeth

&

Art Journal Journey hosted this month by the lovely Erika  with the Theme "What's Up"

What's Up with me...

I created my winter mood Board in the Art room,

It is always fun to put together a bunch of things that I like,

I enjoy using various fabrics, yarn, ribbons, pictures, postcards and handmade items like the felt heart.

I made a hanging heart with yarn

I do feel I need more practice with this because I tend to put too much yarn in one area than another but I do think the heart looks pretty.

I created a pink felt heart and added glitter glue on the ends of it
I would like to make some with lavender and a lace trim in the future.

A closer look at the winter Moodboard in my Art Room

Having a cuppa coffee. This is my daughter's cute mug.

Currently Reading and enjoying

A few stationary favourites on my desk
I use all of these daily in my journal
I love little stamps and would like to have more. They are fun to play with.

One of my cats
this is
Auggie
He is never amused only if it involves food.

I hope you all have a lovely week,
thank you for your visit and your wonderful comments.
Thank you,

Friday Artful Adventures & Creations

Happy Friday!

This week was an okay week but I am lacking energy and motivation.

When do you start decorating for Christmas? I think I am going to start decorating this weekend.

I need some lights and Christmas decor to get me uplifted.

⭐️

This week I did create a little artwork and I managed to put together the last Vlog for October.

Have a look if you like.

Linking up today with Friday Face Off Hosted by the wonderful and talented Nicole

Art for Fun Friday hosted by the lovely and wonderful Gillena.

🌟

This was done on Thursday November 6th on Pastel Paper,

I used my phone to work on a self portrait for Nicole's Challenge.

 Friday Face Off

I am going to keep working on my self portrait with a variety of mediums to explore and learn more.

I used chalk pastels. I feel I need a lot of practice with measurements and proportions.

I do have a book that I am going to look over and It has technical lines and measurements that I can learn from.

oh the messy lines lol
oh the ears lol oh my goodness
a mess but this is good practice

I kindly won gouache paints from this brand on Instagram.

https://nevskayapalitra.com/

I am truly grateful.

A video of the swatches.

Painting with the gouache paints and testing them out.

I notice gouache paints dry flat.

I need to work with them more.

This week I also created an illustration.
I used pencil crayons, crayons, water, markers, pencil and fineliner pen.

I love this fragrance. Clinique Happy. So fresh and revitalizing fragrance.
Thank you so much Dave!
