Summerween

I am trying to have some summer fun. I am just embracing what is close to home at the moment.
How are you all doing? It's been very hot here so I don't go out much in the heat as it makes me a very moody person. lol

Linking up with Friday Face Off  Hosted by the lovely and talented Nicole.

Linking up with the lovely and talented Gillena  for Art For Fun Friday.

Even though it is Saturday today I wanted to join in and share the love.

On Monday went to the local Library.
These are the two Library books that I took out and I absolutely loved "Pumpkin Heads" by Faith Erin Hicks. I actually really enjoy graphic novels, they are so fun to read.

Went out to a cafe and had a sandwich, salad and coffee and paid too much for this by the way.
Prices are very high at the moment. I rarely go out to eat.

I brought my Leuchtturm1917 with me and did some journaling.

So bright and bold and a happy colour.

I had to decorate my journal with stickers.
I love stickers.

New Artwork and a New Art IG Account

I used gouache paints.

My husband bought me a Blind Box of POP MART Nyota Where Moments Meet Series Plush Doll and I got the ARTIST! :) I think that is serendipity.

I am trying to enjoy little moments and pretend I am on vacation mode. lol

I bought two books on Monday. I'm very into Summerween at the moment.
"How to Survive a Horror Movie" and "Tastes Like Candy" and  "Welcome Fear City" which I purchased last year.

Before the heat wave I sat outside.

Journaling daily on a regular notebook.
Not a fan of this one and can't wait to finish this notebook.
Paper matters and this journal is not my favourite.

Thank you so much for visiting and reading my blog!

I haven't vlogged this month yet but maybe I will make a fun "Summerween" vlog.

Have a lovely weekend!

Happy Halloween! 🎃 Art and Journal Planning

Happy Halloween!
Happy Friday my spooktacular friends.
I am so sad that it is the end of October.
So sad that all the trees will have no leaves anymore.

A compilation of October in a mini video.

But I am very grateful for each moment.
October truly was an incredible month.
Lots of Art, Tea and Journaling!

I would like to Link this post up with Nicole's Friday Face Off & Art For Fun Friday
hosted by Gillena.

Thank you both for hosting lovely parties.

I kindly received a Leuchtturm1917 Notebook.
Thank you so much to Leuchtturm1917.

I painted the trees and the colours that I see around me.

Brrrr It's cold outside
I haven't started the Portrait Challenge yet.
I will probably use a photo of when I was younger and start working on it next week.
I did enjoy making this little portrait of how cold it is in the mornings.

Another watercolour tree with lots of autumnal colours.

I bought this sticker book off of Amazon and I love it.
I have no idea how I can use this besides in my journal. Any Ideas?
Making cards?

A flip through of the sticker book.

Finishing up my old Leuchtturm1917 before I get into the new one gifted to me for November.

Eat the Cake! Friday Face Off

Saturday

Incredible wedding! I am so grateful and blessed to have had the opportunity to watch my nephew get married. So special. It was the most beautiful ceremony. I wish him and his new bride all the happiness in the world! God Bless them!

Sunday

Chores, groceries, feeling tired from the day before. Watched "Murder In The Building".

Monday

Got up, took shower, had coffee, prepared my daughters lunch for school, vacuumed, mopped, put laundry on, fed the cats and walked my daughter to school. Folded laundry and feeling a bit tired. Cooked bean soup for dinner. My bean soup has ingredients like carrots, celery, onion and garlic. This week I am going to try and read more of my books and do some artwork. It's monday and I am so tired. I always overwork myself with house chores. My hand rashes are doing better.

Tuesday

More laundry. I call it the cycle that doesn't end. Feeling a bit off in the afternoon but managed to create a few collages in my various notebooks. I use a travelers notebook from Peter Pauper Press, a Moleskine notebook, a Leuchtturmn1917 notebook  and a small Studio Series A6 Field Sketchbook from Peter Pauper Press which I bought on Amazon.

I used lovely snail mail goodies from my friend Yaya.
This collage is in my Leuchtturmn1917.
I love using washi tape, scraps of paper and stamps too.
Junk journaling and collage work is really relaxing.

This is my new Moleskine notebook. I am not sure how this will hold up with my mixed media but we will see how it goes. It has thin paper and I like the crunchy sound it makes.
I will be using this for journaling, collage work and artworks.

Collage in my Travelers Journal
Lovely pieces came from my snail mail pal Yaya.

Wednesday

Cleaned and did some laundry. Caught up with journaling and art. Did not read as much as I would like too. Watched "Bordertown: Mural Murders" as you can tell I like Murder Mysteries. 🕵🏻‍♀️ 🔍

Cooked lemon rice and meatballs with tomato sauce for dinner.  Hubby came home and we watched the movie "A Fall City Christmas" on Prime. A very meaningful film.

Created this piece. This is in my book  Studio Series A6 Field Sketchbook from Peter Pauper Press. I bought it from Amazon. I think it was 10 dollars. I really love the paper in this book. It's soft and it feels so amazing to colour with pencil crayons. Smooth and soft. Not sure where I saw this quote but I love cake and I say "Eat the Cake" life is too short!

Would like to do more reading tomorrow, lets see how this goes...

Thurdsay

Set up my moleskine notebook with October themed stickers and I hope it holds up. It feels like it might fall apart. I am use to stronger paper and a hard cover.  I will update you when I figure things out.

Doing laundry. Not cooking today. Leftovers today.

Should be reading but I am tired from setting up the notebook and worrying about it. lol

Missing my husband and feeling emotional. I'm hanging in there and can't wait until the weekend.

Took a leaf photo today.

Friday

Happy Friday Face Off! I hope you are all well my wonderful artistic and creative friends! I am happy it's Friday.  I love doing the blog hop on Friday and into the weekend. It makes me really happy to see all the artwork and posts from all of you. I truly do appreciate each and everyone of you. This weekend I hope to relax a bit and enjoy spending time with family. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and keep making art!

Leuchtturm1917 Canada Discount Code!

Setting up my Christmas 🎄 #bulletjournal with to-do lists, movies, menu suggestions for Christmas and more. I love getting creative and adding everything that I wish for the Christmas Holidays in my Leuchtturm1917 Notebook. It helps me not to forget anything but it also is so enjoyable to document my memories.

I love ❤️ my bullet journal. 📝 did you know when purchasing a journal from @leuchtturm1917canada you can customize the lines to have dots, lines or squares. Also you can customize it by adding your name in the front of your notebook. It would be a great gift idea to surprise someone with a notebook or an art book with their name in the front. 🎁 the best gift idea.

You can also choose a colour of your choice.
So wonderful in my opinion. Feel free to use my code if you like.
