I am trying to have some summer fun. I am just embracing what is close to home at the moment.
How are you all doing? It's been very hot here so I don't go out much in the heat as it makes me a very moody person. lol

Even though it is Saturday today I wanted to join in and share the love.
On Monday went to the local Library.
These are the two Library books that I took out and I absolutely loved "Pumpkin Heads" by Faith Erin Hicks. I actually really enjoy graphic novels, they are so fun to read.
Went out to a cafe and had a sandwich, salad and coffee and paid too much for this by the way.
Prices are very high at the moment. I rarely go out to eat.
I brought my Leuchtturm1917 with me and did some journaling.
I love the Luminous Edition.

I had to decorate my journal with stickers.
I love stickers.

I used gouache paints.
I am trying to enjoy little moments and pretend I am on vacation mode. lol
I bought two books on Monday. I'm very into Summerween at the moment.
"How to Survive a Horror Movie" and "Tastes Like Candy" and "Welcome Fear City" which I purchased last year.
Before the heat wave I sat outside.
Journaling daily on a regular notebook.
Not a fan of this one and can't wait to finish this notebook.
Paper matters and this journal is not my favourite.

DeleteHi Maria! I haven't read any graphic novels lately, but do have some in my personal library. I love your paintings, especially that interesting landscape framed by the flower bed. As a priest, I read a lot theological books. However, this summer I picked up some books at my favorite bookstore, and am taking time for recreational reading too. That's my vacation mode too, as I've been traveling, but it's been to care for my Mom and grandchildren. Shalom!

I just bought a couple of Christmas decorations on Saturday. 😂 I like to treat myself to an occasional lunch, usually just a grilled cheese sandwich and Starbucks coffee at my favorite bookstore. It's been very hot here in Colorado too. I enjoyed the three clips you showed of painting with watercolors. You paint with such confidence and abandon. It's fun to watch. All the best to you!

DeleteSo wonderful that you spent some time journalling in the cafe. Your journal reminded me of the journal I kept at high school as a class project. I covered it with stickers too. Love that your husband got you a blind box and you got the artist. That's fantastic!! Enjoy!
