T Stands for 'Tis The Season To Be Jolly!

Happy December 2nd!

I am very happy and excited for this month! I am working on a daily vlog challenge called #VLOGMAS

Linking up with Elizabeth's blog  T Stands for Tuesday

My wonderful husband bought me a lovely Advent Tea Calendar from the UK called Bird and Blend Tea. I love all their flavours. Yesterday's tea was Gingerbread Chai. It was delicious. I love this calendar because It has two tea bags. In january I go through them again and enjoy another cuppa.
I am going to open day two later and will film it in the vlog. Also going to go for a lovely walk in the winter trail! ❄️

Yesterday I created a few pages of collage journaling.

I wrote a letter to Santa and put it in the envelope.

I worked a little in my Leuchtturm1917 book.
I added a page for the Bird and Blend Advent tea

I also created some dangling charms to the book. I will showcase it in the vlog as well.

On Sunday we decorated our tree and also decorated gingerbread houses and made these lovely oranges
They smell so wonderful in the living room.
I will take a picture of the tree and gingerbread houses for my next post, you can see them in the vlog if you like. :)

Feel Free to Use this December Calendar.
You can save it on your computer and print it out.

Art For Fun Friday & Portrait Challenge FFO

Happy Friday!

Linking up with Nicole's Friday Face Off Challenge and Art for Fun Friday hosted by the lovely Gillena.

Photo Reference:

hello it's me

nice to see you 😊

I started sketching for the Portrait Challenge this last week and I truly learned so much.

First drawing

I did a quick sketch, a sketch with more time put into it and also I traced my self in the final piece so I can learn what I am doing wrong. My sketches do not look like me. LOL They look lovely but they don't look like me.

Quick sketches

More time spent on this portrait.

The traced one below looks a little more like me. I learned a lot and with each line I almost cried. I've been through a lot the past four years and I am grateful for each pencil stroke. I thank you Nicole for inspiring me and for hosting this challenge because I am more appreciative of myself through this challenge. I will continue to work on self portraits because I do find it such a great challenge to learn and grow. I would like to work on a self portrait with paints as well.

I traced the outline of this one:

As I traced this I learned about placement of my eyes, width of my nose and I know I would like to work on shading more. I am grateful for this challenge because I learned alot and I know that I need to keep practicing to keep growing.

I have so much more learning to do. Portraits are not my usual comfort zone. Landscapes and abstract and vases with flowers are my thing. So this was truly a challenge. I had a lot of fun and a lot of learning happening. I will continue to work on my portraits and continue to challenge myself.

Thank you all so much for your visit and your comments mean so much to me. Thank you Gillena and Nicole for your amazing challenges and blog hops. It's a beautiful art community.

I am truly grateful!

T stands for Theatre!

Happy Tuesday! I know I said I don't like fizzy drinks but on the weekend I had this drink called flirt and it is made in Canada. I LOVE IT. So so good. Reminds me of Orangina.

LINKING UP WITH T STANDS FOR TUESDAY hosted by Elizabeth.

I had a lovely day on Sunday. I went with my friend Alexandra to see a play and had lunch at Athens Restaurant. First time going to this restaurant and the food was spectacular!
The restaurant is located on 707 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4J 1L2. Spectacular food! Very Authentic Greek Food.

Also that coke was incredible! I think the temperature of a drink matters a lot.
This coke zero was so deliciously cold I enjoyed it. Yes I know I said I don't like fizzy drinks before but I think I enjoy fizzy drink when it is very very cold. 🥶 Must be super cold.

Fantastic food. The meatballs and rice had so much flavour. So good.

They decorated the restaurant so nicely.

After the delicious lunch we went to Trinacria Espresso Italiano on 374 Danforth Ave.  and I ordered a double shot of espresso in my cappuccino. Oh boy let me tell you this kept me up all night into the morning. lol
it was the best cappuccino ever!
I love my cappuccino with cinnamon.

We took an Uber to the Theatre and watched a funny Greek Play. It was wonderful and my friend Christine is in the play and she is so talented. She executed her roll perfectly. She is fantastic! ⭐️
The entire cast was wonderful and I laughed cried. I loved the play.

My friend Christine and I.
Christine if you are reading this I want you to know you are AMAZING! Love you to the moon and back!

My friend Alexandra and I.
I had a wonderful time with my friend Alexandra. She is incredible friend and I am grateful for our friendship. I know Alexandra for over 30 years. She is amazing.

What a fun and wonderful day filled with special moments.
I love my friends and I am so grateful for our friendship.

Thank you all so much for your visit.
