PAST BLOG POST October 2022 when we moved from Toronto to PEI and lived there for two years! (currently we are back in Ontario)

This week went by so fast!

I tried to keep busy doing a lot of art. 

I did neglect keeping the house in order but sometimes I just have to do what I have to do! :)

I bought a vase and napkins from the Dollar tree

It was very fun to make

I don't mind that there is texture on the vase 

October Journal Layout

The moleskin notebook threads are falling apart and I am not sure it will last but I will keep going and using tape. I don't like to start something and not finish it.

I also made little pumpkins but not sure why my photo is not uploading so here is the youtube short.

I am truly grateful and happy that I focused on art this week. 

 I do need to find a balance though. lol

I just keep going.

One thing I learned this week is to take good care of your self,

Treat your self with love and kindness.

Happy September! Friday Face Off ART

 

Autumn has arrived early

I really enjoy the change of colours

I count my blessings and try to be grateful for each day

Currently trying to read more.

My brain jumps to so many thoughts it's making my reading harder. 

I sit trying to read and my thoughts and brain start saying

"try this! don't forget that! make dinner! clean the house! pick up the mail!" 

lol It's all good, I will keep on going and hopefully be able to deeply dive into the storyline. 

We don't eat out often so last weekend we went to Wimpy's and I had the turkey bacon sandwich. 

It was incredible. Absolutely loved going out.

I used markers for this face and also pastels and some paint as well. 

I didn't measure the face, I just went with the flow. 

I enjoy drawing faces and I use to do it more often.

March Artwork

March is almost over and it's so strange because it went by so fast. My lymphedema arm has been bothering me and I need to go get my arm drained and also get fitted for a new sleeve. My strabismus is getting worse and I am hoping that I can see my specialist soon. I'm emotional... I did a lot of artwork this month and I would like to make more. I would like to explore ink and fountain pen. I look forward to using my new Leuchtturm1917 Notebook and sketchbook in April. I would like to draw and paint on location like in a cafe or in Nature. Drawing outdoors has many challenges and I would like to explore and develop as an artist. Personal growth is important to me. I would like to scroll less. Stay off my phone and keep more active with things I enjoy doing. I haven't uploaded a vlog and I love vlogging so much. I will try my best to upload in April. April is my Birthday month. I can't believe I am going to be 49. One more year in my 40's.  Also my hubby and daughter celebrate in April as well and we have Easter too. It's a busy month. Carlton Cards kindly sent me a lovely package and I can't wait to share everything with you. I will be decorating for Birthdays and Easter and sharing it with you. 

Enjoying this month...

I love art, writing and painting. I enjoy reading and recently I am participating in a play which I am enjoying so much. I hope you are all good and I truly wish you a very amazing and wonderful April.

Inspiration & Creativity During the Winter Months

 

It's a huge challenge for me when January comes around to keep motivated and inspired to make art and keep my creative spark going. But little steps at a time helps. It's not everyday but It is small steps that help bring in the flow of creativity and inspiration.

How about you? 

My husband bought me a new watercolour set and I've been enjoying using this and it's been a lot of fun. 

This is a little junk journaling and I really enjoyed using gold leaf, wax and sparkle paint on this page. 

Sometimes a little bit of something creative can bring more inspiration and productivity around.  Even when we are feeling down it's good to take little steps and move forward. I hope you are all well my friends. January is very challenging time for me and I am trying to not scroll on the phone. I find the less time on my phone the better I feel. Just keep active with anything other than your phone. A good balance is important. Live life to the fullest!
