Echoes of Yesteryear

Happy Friday! Time is going by so fast.

I am sharing past portraits with you today.
I feel it is important to reflect on past artwork and also to find gratitude within ourselves and appreciate our creativity.

Sometimes creativity can be thoughts and creative reflections of our past artwork,
this process helps me find more inspiration and direction for my next pieces.

Thank you so much!

Thank you all for your comments and kindness. Have a lovely weekend!

Turn Chaos Into Calm with Planners and Journals

The amount of information and chaos that happens in my brain needs a calm outlet. My outlet is to document and let everything out into the pages of a  Leuchtturm1917.  I love to journal daily, plan, write lists and more.

I have been a brand ambassador for  Leuchtturm1917  for five years and I am so grateful to work with them. I have used Leuchtturm1917 journals and sketchbooks for over five years and really love the quality of them. A journal needs to be strong and not fall apart because I stick a lot of things in it like memories, photos, receipts and more. I really love how you can choose a notebook colour, lines or dots and size of the notebook.

I really love to create monthly pages and write dates to remember and bucket lists.

Yes Love a lot of stickers too. Inside and out my book. The more the better.

I've been using the "some lines a day" journal and I have two more years to go with this. Love it so much. I reflect back on what I did this day last year and it is amazing to read. Very grateful for each moment that I have documented.

Overall I love using my Leuchtturm1917 notebooks. I find writing things down really helps me plan better and declutter my brain.
I love the quality of the notebooks, planners and sketchbooks.

Writing and documenting definitely helps turn my chaos into calmness!

Thank you all for reading my blog post. I appreciate it!

Books I Am Determined to Finish in 2026

These are a few books that I started and haven't finished. I would love to finish these this year.
I usually read one book a month but I am going to push through and see if I can finish these books.

I will be setting time out of the day to read instead of scroll.

Wish me luck and will update you when each book is finished.

Happy reading!

Thank you and have a productive day!

Art For Fun Friday

Hello lovely friends, I hope you are all good. I am grateful for this month. Even though I did not make art this month I did do a word search puzzle, I did some reading and colouring. I was not motivated but I am sure things will get better. I've been enjoying fermenting foods at the moment.

We had a very bad storm in July and all the houses in our neighbourhood lost a lot of trees. I guess it was a mini tornado because the trees were pulled out of the earth. I am grateful that this month is over and I look forward to August. Heading into fall is my favourite thing in the world.

A picture of Toronto.
My husband always sends me pictures from his work.
You can see the CN Tower in the distance.

Here I have my fermentations.

I have carrots, peppers, cucumbers, rosemary, basil and what you don't see in this picture is that I also have lemons and garlic too. I would like to make red onions and look forward to making beets and cabbage too. I eat these with every meal and it helps my digestion.

A sunrise photo from my husbands work.

Have a lovely August and a lovely weekend. We have a long weekend here in Ontario.
I hope I will be able to make a vlog soon. I miss making vlogs but I am stuck in my head at the moment.
Also too many emotions all over the place.

Thank you all so much!
Must positivity and sunshine your way!

Making Art By The Sea

Spending all day with my husband was the best part of being on Prince Edward Island.
I really love the Ocean
Living close to the Sea was a blessing
Making Art and dipping my toes in the water was so wonderful.
I miss those days.
I hope to see many other Oceans and make art by the sea again one day.

We picked up and moved to PEI after I finished all my treatments due to Breast Cancer
It was healing time.
Nature, art and prayer.
I will always be grateful for the two years on the Island.

The smell and sound of the Ocean is incredible.

I thank the Lord in this moment and every moment that he has given me.
Each day is a gift.
Each moment, I praise the good Lord for all the good in my life and also for keeping me strong.

Amen
