FRIDAY FACE OFF Sketchbook Complete!

 FRIDAY FACE OFF

Happy Friday Face Off!

Linking to the wonderful Nicole for Friday Face Off

I started this sketchbook in 2022 and just finished it. It took me long because I have a few books on the go. I jump from book to book. I am really pleased and happy it is comple. I feel very grateful for the experience in this Leuchtturm1917 Sketchbook. Leuchtturm Canada sent this to me when I was just finishing my chemo and It really helped me express and create and feel happy. So thank you Leuchtturm1917 for reaching out and supporting me through the years. So much love for them. 🩷

  3. Hi Maria! It truly is a great feeling when you get to fill an art journal. Thank you for letting us look through it with you. I find it very special to remember what I sketched/painted, as well as reminisce on the why, when, and where. I need to start making videos to post like you, but need to get the proper setup. I love that single feushia flower you did. Blessings!

  5. Your art is so beautiful, Maria. I love the Leuchtturm1917 journals a lot and use them for my regular journaling. Whenever I'm in Germany I buy a couple since they have so many more colors and sizes available there (no surprise since it is a German company).

  6. Wow! Maria look at all of the beauty you have created. The video is fabulous flipping through the book. However, what really stood out to me is the bubble gum art. It is so difficult to make a bubble see through. You accomplished this perfectly. I love her. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a very nice weekend.

  7. I love "flip through videos" of other people's sketchbooks! You've got some lovely pieces in yours. My favourites among the ones you posted are "Inspire," the watercolour forest scene, and that terrific poppy!

  8. That's a great sketchbook. My favorite face is the bubble blowing girl. It made me happy to look at it. That is a great pink bubble. And that's a great new mug too. Hearts are one of the best shapes, aren't they? Have a super weekend. hugs-Erika

  10. I love your purple sketchbook -- and all the contents within. Isn't it wonderful when something like this helps you through a challenging physical time? We all need something like that. It's lovely.

  12. Ha, dear Maria,
I just finished watching "How to Get to Heaven From Belfast" on Netflix – the series is really great! I hope there's a sequel!

Now, about your sketchbook – I think it's so wonderful that this book accompanied you through the time at the end, or rather, after the chemo. I can well understand that it was a great help to you!

Thank you for your comment on my previous Vancouver chapter – I can highly recommend that you visit your friend there. The city has so much to offer – and a friends' get-together there is guaranteed to be a hit! 🥰
All the best from Austria, Traude
