Hello friends! I hope you are all doing well!
Linking up with Nicole's Blog for Friday Face Off and Gillena on her lovely blog for Art for Fun Friday.
I didn't have time to post on Tuesday but I do want to share Elizabeth's Blog too.
Have a look at her wonderful blog Altered Book Lover.
I had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with family on October 11th. The next day I woke up with a stiff lower back and pain shooting down my right leg. This has happened before and It is hard to move and It is a horrible experience. I am slowly healing. I've been stretching daily and going for gentle walks.
On the actual Thanksgiving Day I cooked for my family. I made chicken breast with rosemary, mashed potato, sweet potato with marshmallows on top, butternut squash soup with bacon, brussels sprouts, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce and cottage roll. It was delicious!
I managed to film A Day In The Life video. It was fun to film and put together. I hope you enjoy the video.
I did a lot of journaling this past week and I also started reading two new books.
“October, October” by Katya Balen and “The Castle of Otranto” by Horace Walpole.
So far I am loving both books.
ARTWORK
I haven't created any artwork recently. Which makes me sad but here are some old drawings of Autumn.
Thank you my wonderful friends, I hope you are all well and thank you for all your support and lovely comments. Have a fantastic weekend!
God Bless you all!
Maria

DeleteThat sounds like an amazing dinner. I can't wait for our US Thanksgiving to arrive. I think it's my favorite holiday. Sorry to read about your back and leg pain too. It sounds like you're doing everything they tell you to do. I hope you have a super weekend ahead and feel better soon. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Erika! I am doing better thank goodness. Have a lovely weekend!
DeleteHave a great weekend, Maria. I hope your back gets better. (It sounds like a problem with your sciatic nerve - the big clue being the pains shooting down your leg.)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Gene! Yes you might be right! Have a lovely weekend!
DeleteSorry to hear about your painful morning, but glad you're healing. Your Thanksgiving feast sounds scrumptious! I remember a couple of your Autumn pages you posted, and still love the forest with the colorful tree tops. Other than my theological texts, I haven't done much other reading lately. Happy T Day and FFO!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Rev. Arnoldo! Have a lovely weekend and i hope you get some reading done for yourself.

ReplyDeleteThank you Nicole! Have a lovely weekend!
DeleteSorry to read about your back and leg. I can empathize. My back is in constant pain. Please take it easy.
ReplyDeleteYour Thanksgiving meal sounds wonderful. You fixed many of MY favorites, too.
I enjoyed your vlog. I've never heard of black licorice toothpaste. I enjoyed how you made the tea and that chili looks delicious.
I adore your autumn art, even if you have shown it before. I'd never seen it. I loved Inspire and the trees. Thank for sharing your tea and your painted rink with us for T this week. Also, happy FFO and AFFF.
Thank you so much Elizabeth! I appreciate it so much. Have a lovely weekend!
DeleteBeautiful art. ❤️
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Linda!
DeleteI remember you said you lived in PEI at one point. We didn't make it to O'Leary. Because of some car problems and having to go into Charlottetown to get them fixed and picked up a car rental a couple things didn't happen. I wouldn't have minded seeing the giant potato at the museum though.
ReplyDeleteThank you Erika! Oh the potato museum is lovely and they have the best sweet pudding there. The fries are the best! The West point Lighthouse is my favourite. The coastal drive around the Island is breathtaking. Thanks Erika! have a lovely weekend!
DeleteI'm so glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving, though the day after sounds pretty awful. I hope all is well now. I just ADORE your autumn art!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jeanie! Have a lovely weekend! Trying to get better thank you so much.
DeleteHi, Maria! Your October 14th was better that mine, for I was down with the flu. I would have enjoyed some of that hot, delicious looking chili you made in your vlog. It looks like we put much of the same ingredients in chili. The L.M. Montgomery quote made me smile. She was my paternal grandmother's second cousin, and the places in the Anne books were very much part of my early childhood. My grandmother knew the people Montgomery based her characters on. I've been reading and journaling too. Right now I'm reading "The Night Watchman" by Louise Erdrich ~ It's fabulous. Keep enjoying life! Happy Autumn. ❤️
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better. My back is still acting up. I can't believe you are related to L.M. Montgomery!!!!! that is so so amazing! I am happy you are reading and journaling too! That is lovely! Your book sounds wonderful! Thank you so much and many blessings your way! Happy Autumn!
DeleteThat is a lovely autumn photo. Your artwork is always so varied. I love that. The blue and orange combination is wonderful in your art.
