Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'

Happy Friday!

Linking up today with the wonderful and talented Nicole for Friday Face Off

Thank you Nicole for the Feature! You are inspirational and a wonderful artist that inspires me. I appreciate you so much.

The lovely and wonderful Gillena for Art For Fun Friday

I can't get this song out of my head...

I have started this Leuchtturm1917 Journal in 2022 and I am almost finished it but am I?

The left side of the pages are not all full. Do you fill up both sides of your Art pages?

I feel like I am wasting a page so I am going to fill both sides up.

I guess we make up our own rules right? Our sketchbook our rules. ;)

Also today is 99 days until I turn 50.
I am grateful for each moment on this earth.
The good, the bad and the ugly. lol
A true blessing.
Made this little spread in my journal.

this week in the ART Space

Background acrylic paint and the strawberry in pencil crayons.

A quick little sketch
always thinking about the ocean

This is a reflection on my thoughts and feelings at the moment.
Would love to know your thoughts about this piece.

New Watercolours! They are bold and bright! Really like these.

Landscape with the watercolours

A doodle with Sharpie acrylic parker pens

I miss doing junk journaling this week but will continue on the weekend.

Also I've been working on air dry clay and I am making a little dish for my desk to put some washi tape on and a brush rest for when I am painting. I will show you the results next week.
I enjoy clay and making little dishes. I think I would like to make some fruit shaped ones! :) FUN!

Thank you for being here and thank you for your time and comments. It means so much to me. I truly hope you are all well my friends and I can't wait to visit your blogs too.
Stay creative and have a beautiful weekend!

Maria

  1. Dear Maria, you have created beautiful art, both in your art journal and with your new watercolors and air-dry clay. (Great idea! I've never worked with that before; I only know the kind that needs to be fired, and it's not easy to find a place with a kiln...)
50, what a wonderful age! I enjoyed being 50 and hope you enjoy it just as much! (But it sounds like it, and that's good 😊. I know so many people who think that when they turn 30, 40, 50... they're suddenly different or "old" or... I don't know. I'm turning 65 this year, and like you, I'm simply grateful for every year I've lived and all the things I've experienced. Exactly, the good, the bad, and the ugly πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜…πŸ˜‰)
Warm winter greetings from Austria ❄️☃️, Traude

  7. 54 on my dentist-day, "Happy Birthday".... ahhhh..... I sure do not count down happily!
And then in some weeks: Ocean! Think you sketched your dream well, love the little boat!
And the watercolors are beautifully bold indeed - as is the outcome. To a lovely weekend.

  10. I know exactly what you mean about enjoying every minute on this earth, even on the most challenging days. We only get so many of those minutes and we never know how many are left. It's such a shame to waste them.

  11. I was out most of the day yesterday so I wasn't able to stop by, but I'm actually glad I waited because it's a snowy morning today and I can really take my time reading. The best thing about journals is that you can make your own rules. Are you doing anything big for your birthday? To celebrate? And your clay dish is going to be fun. I love your fruit shape idea. Keep on enjoying every minute, because none of those minutes come back to us/ Hugs-Erika

  12. My goodness, you are very creative. I enjoyed your rapid videos ... wish I could think that fast :) Love your Tiger slippers, but wasn't able to figure out how to get them (open to suggestion :). And, thanks to you, I have that wonderful song "Oh What A Beautiful Morning" running through my brain. Haven't heard it in years and yes, we should enjoy every minute of our lives and appreciate the wonderful love and happiness that surrounds us. I love your upbeat approach to life Maria ... Hope your New Year is treating you well.

  13. Your art is beautiful, Maria. I really like the piece with the woman lying on the waves of the ocean, it speaks to me. Your watercolors are wonderful as well. I wish I would have the time to create only half as much as you do.
