Art For Fun Friday And FFO

Oh I thought that the Portrait challenge was today but it's okay because I will keep practicing my portrait skills. lol  Linking up with Nicole's Friday Face Off  and Art for Fun Friday hosted by Gillena.

It's been a week. I did a lot of reading, cleaning and I've been thinking of doing a Junk Journaling/Collage Blog just for weekly or monthly Parties. What are your thoughts? I would love to know. I really love junk journaling and collage art. Not sure though 🤔

Here is my new gingy pillow. She is cute and love her smile and bow.

Currently reading this book and i am really enjoying it

I painted this yesterday. I miss PEI and West Point Lighthouse ❤️

I finished my small sketchbook and started the new one. I am not very happy with my sketches so far.
But I need to let that go and look at it as a place to learn, explore and not try too hard.
To go with the flow and just have fun.
Here are a few sketches in the new little sketchbook.
I have to fix the hands on the little one on the right.

So those are some of the beginning sketches
They are not perfect and It's okay
I am giving myself permission to make messy art.

Thank you my friends for the visit. I am truly grateful. I hope you have a lovely Friday and a wonderful weekend. This weekend I am going to go see a Greek Play and also visit a Christmas Market with a friend. We are also putting up our tree. Or we might have to get a new one because the lights don't work on them. It's been a week! lol
Have a good one my friends!

  3. Hi Maria, I so enjoyed this post. Your sketch book art is awesome. I like that you have given yourself permission to do messy art which is quite in style now. Your watercolors always impress me. However, your gingy pillow is just to adorable. Thank you for sharing with FFO and have a lovely weekend.

  7. Hi, Maria! I was immediately taken by your PEI lighthouse. Did you live in PEI? I did during my childhood, and it's my father's people's home. The gingy pillow is adorable. I keep a written journal, and sometimes I paste images in it ~ That's as close a I get to an art journal. Whatever makes you happy is what you should be doing. Happy weekend!

    1. Thank you so much! Yes I lived there for two years and it was amazing. What area did you live in? I lived on the West side of the island. Close to Summerside, it was lovely. Nature is so beautiful there. I don't like the wind though. The wind is crazy. Whatever makes you happy is so true. :) thank you so much for your visit! Have a wonderful weekend!
